Default Legalizing Homes in Almanzora and Axarquía

The JdeA will approve a new law to legalize most of the illegal homes in Almanzora (Almería) and the Axarquía (Málaga).
Is that going to fix the problem?

It will probably make it worse, as anyone building illegally now know they can eventually get it sorted with the brown envelope.

Not if they make it a sort of amnesty for houses already built, but not for any building that is not built from a certain date.

They have certainly killed the international market dead. In Almería, just one house was demolished - the home of Helen and Len Prior in Vera in January 2008. They've been living in their garage ever since (on a site which is now earmarked by the same Junta de Andalucía for 35,000 houses).
The Prior's television appearances in Britain, Norway and Germany will have lost the Spanish people billions in sales and regular monthly income plus thousands of jobs. So, there's a way to go certainly...

BTW I enjoy your blog & the remedy is simple (to my mind) run for mayor and if the expats have any sense they will all vote you in (assuming they are registered)

Bit off topic I know.
