I mentioned on the other learning Spanish thread that I am a fan of Duolingo, mainly because it makes it easy to practice a bit of Spanish each day. It won't get you fluent, but then again nothing will, apart from regular practice with native speakers. But given full immersion might not be an option for many people, tools like Duolingo are the next best thing. None of them are perfect, so you need to combine them in some kind of structured way that suits you.

I used / use 'SPanish 10 minutes a day' cd in the car. I found it very useful to get the basics of greetings, questions, number, colours etc. Only thing that has slowed me down is i have been using the motocicleta a lot getting to n thro work as traffic in South East England is bad !!

Ive downloaded all my cd’s to iTunes on my laptop then synced them to an old iPod we had knocking about and not used for years, it is small enough to keep in my pocket and I listen to it while pottering around the house or doing the weekly shop, people must think I’m mad when I’m repeating Spanish phrases while pushing a trolley around asda 😂
