Re: Learning to Drive in Spain
According to my friend Spanish drivers are good, unfortunately she then went on to add that compared to the Greeks, Egyptians and Italians they are very good.

Re: Learning to Drive in Spain
Wow you guys, I think I really started something there didn't I lol! well, I didn't mean to cause anyone offence, so apologies if I did. I suppose, as with most things, there can be no generalization as to which group of people are better/ worse a doing something than others, perhaps it's just that being a 'passenger seat driver' for so long I've noticed things on the road that I probably shouldn't do if I ever want to keep my license once I get it. To be fair, that statement is true of all the countries I've visited. Funnily enough though, the best drivers I've ever come across are in India, where there is no formal 'highway code' other than let people know (by beeping) when you want to pass and get out of the way when someone else does. It's all very organised (for what would otherwise appear to be chaotic). I suspect that it just boils down to respect and patience.
I am really grateful to you all for replying to my questions. I appreciate the links you included The Capitan's Wench, and will have a read of them now. Thanks everyone. It's been amusing, to say the least :D HCLx. |
Re: Learning to Drive in Spain
Are you allowed to hold a Uk provisional licence and Spanish full licence?

Re: Learning to Drive in Spain
A UK provisional licence is only valid in the UK. Why would you want both?
