I suspect I may have missed it...........but does anyone know the last posting date to UK for cards (normal post- not one of those 'special' deals the English shops do!)

I always seem to send them late, or they just don't get there, no matter how early I think I am

I bought the cards this morning...finally.......and will be writing them over the next day or so..........

Hate to say it, but posted all ours this last Monday, thought I'd ensure that they got there on time, we are taking immediate familys' when we go over for a few days before Christmas.

I saw a thread on another forum saying that someone had posted a letter in Spain last Wednesday lunchtime and it had been received in the UK on Friday!!

The postal service is certainly erratic. Letters that I send back home, and letters I receive from the UK NEVER take more than 3 working days, 2 is more usual. Not sure why it takes longer in some areas?

From here letters to the UK normally take 3 days, from the UK can easily take 6 days, although recently a PARCEL posted in the UK on a Friday afternoon was here on the Monday

neither could I, and the royal mail one, which I thought might tell me last date in the other direction, therefore giving me some idea, wasn't working!

Last posting date the 12th December for ordinary letters/cards and then parcels over 1kg 10th Dec sorr!!!y. :rolleyes:
