Langotinos

Langotinos
I have been given ten langostinos by a neighbour, I often eat them in reastaurants but have never cooked them. My Spanish recipe book suggests cooking them in a saucepan with oil and butter, any other ideas?

Re: Langotinos
Or cook them as you recipe books says but add some sliced garlic and some chillis, either a finely diced fresh one of about 6 very small dired red one but be sure not to eat the dried one once cooked.
Or you could take the shell off and then quick fry in some garlic butter, then add some cream and serve with some pasta. yum yum.
Hope you and Rosemary enjoy them.

Thanks for the replies, not a lover of chilli or curry for that matter. I think that garlic and lemon sounds delicious.
Unfortunately Rosemary is allergic to shellfish of any type so guess who will be eating the whole ten.

And are very delicious. But I has made it with cooked shrimp, not fried in oil or to the grill

Thanks for advising Graham on how to cook his langostinos. He cooked all 27 (not 10) of them in garlic and lemon and had them with ciabatta bread and said that they were absolutely delicious.

Mix chilli with mayonnaise and dip them in that.

Taste great if you just cook them on a hot plancha for a couple of mins each side, sprinkle rock salt on them as you cook and some lemon juice.

Bil and his wife came over today for lunch Li, I cooked paella followed by home made cheesecake, the loganberry topping was from fruit grown in Bil's garden. It was bloody lovely even if I am blowing my own trumpet
