Knights Insurance
has filed for bankruptcy
I know a huge number of expats use/ have used them for car insurance etc., so I thought it might be a good idea to post this info http://www.boe.es/boe/dias/2013/11/2...2013-44217.pdf |
Re: Knights Insurance
Wow, that is a surprise

Re: Knights Insurance
Yes big surprise, there was a time when it seemed every expat on the Costa Blanca was with them. I suppose Linea Directa has had an impact.

Re: Knights Insurance
Well, thats interesting. About 2 years ago I had my villa insurance with them, and as renewal was coming up I learned that one of the big insurance companies refused to deal with them any more, as they had outstanding premiums that hadnt been paid to them.
I put that to Knights, and they of course denied it. I moved my insurance elsewhere however. |

Re: Knights Insurance
My local office (Nerja) has just changed identity, same staff everything, and now trades as "Liberty Securos".
Same totally satisfactory service. Usual disclaimers. |
Re: Knights Insurance
This dates back to October 2010, however I can no longer find the link on http://www.ibexinsure.com/
But below is a link to Eye on Spain http://www.eyeonspain.com/blogs/inte...heck-this.aspx |
Re: Knights Insurance
Used Knights for car insurance a few years ago but their service was so appalling that we changed to another company.
Knights would never send us any documents, even after repeated requests, not even emailed copies. Required NCD proof for the new company and requested this from Knights but we just gave up in the end. Completely hopeless. |

Our local office (with the original staff) became Liberty Seguros instead, A new 'Knights' office opened up in Torrevieja but it seemed like a completely different company - different staff etc. I have to say that I found the original Knights very good - like the good old insurance brokers that used to be common in the UK. |
