kidney dialysis granada and calpe
Have looked on usual dialysis websites and there is no mention of a dialysis centre in granada itself. Anyone know of one that accepts ehic card, This is so i can visit a friend.
Also need to know a good dialysis centre near Calpe, where would like a property.

The brand new hospital in Granada has a huge Dialysis unit which can cater for 200 patients. It is one of the biggest hospitals in Spain with 700 beds and 26 operating theatres.

Just looked online and no sign of a website showing services. Large website on the technology park but the links on healthcare are limited. Is it actually open yet or still being built ? Assume it is university hospital.
Fred, certainly not listed on any dialysis website, so if you know a way of contacting by email would be useful.

Did you not read the link I posted? All the information you need is there.
It has been open for some time. It's very easy to get to and park. If you like shopping there is a HUGE shopping centre on the other side of the motorway, also recently built.

Hello again Fred. Perhaps they changed the url but have looked again and still can not find any contact details for the hospital. The website is a resource tool and news about the science park and not the hospital. Sorry if being thick today.

Surely you should be arranging treatment through your existing dialysis centre? You are far more likely to get an appointment through them rather than by direct contact with the hospital.

No it varies from centre to centre. My unit does not have admin staff. So for places like Spain and France you are expected to search online and find a centre. The sister will email medical details afterwards.

When I nursed in Dialysis we organised everything for the patient, does your unit not do this for you?

Hi everyone. Thanks for the phone number. It does appear they don't have a website.
Peterborough is only a satterlite centre and the unit I go to only has ten beds. The nurses will email blood tests etc but you are expected to do the research yourself.
