Yes, I appreciate that and I think that you will have a problem because the tyre "size" is different, even though it might well be better. The ITV guys just look at the sizes on the Ficha Technica.

My reply was specific to El Capitan who, I assumed, was talking about "better" in the context of speed/load ratings rather than comfort/ride which inevitably are subjective measurements.

Yes I was meaning better as in speed rating. Some people might see a different size as "better" in their mind.

As for drilled disks Mitzy, just about all bikes have drilled / perforated disks so are they an exception to this rule?

Yes, something that crossed my mind also. Maybe its because most cars are not fitted with drilled discs as standard and therefore they assume them to be a modification.
