Its only a little prick

Just a reminder that October/November sees the start of the Flu jab season. Here in Catalonia I have to obtain the sealed serum and needle from the Farmacia and then take it the 400 metres to the Nurse who will administer the vaccine. I must say after arriving in Spain, The first two years I suffered from really bad bronchitis even though I had been given the flu jab in the UK, However not for the strain of Flu here in Spain. The Flu/Cold appears about Dec/Jan. I had the local jab last year and did not have any problems. I urge you whatever age to have the jab as colds and flu here once they take hold seem to take 4-6 weeks to shake off.:eek::eek:

I asked about it last year and was told it's only given to those over 65 by the social health service.

Mrs Posh tells me that she goes to the medical centre and has the Flu jab given there together with a jab for anti Pneumonia.I don't know if its an all in one or two separate seats of pain.
She is rather older than me, You see at the time all this Toyboy stuff is all very well until you reach the later years in life, When you still have a zing in your step and when you stagger home with your Wine Buff Friends late at night to make them all a bacon sarnie and you trip over her zimmer frame left in the hall and start to notice the smell of wee on the sofa next to you. Then the penny drops ehhhhhhh there's an age gap here.Mrs Posh has had her diary's ghosted as she's not the best of nibs.If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster.:rofl::rofl:

Given yes 60 if female. However I am nowhere near 65 and just bought mine and popped into the Medical Centre for administration by the nurse. I think she told me last year just to come in and they will do the lot no charge. I will double check and the notices re Flu jabs should be going up in the medical centres in early October. The only reason I am banging on about it is that the flu here seems a very bad strain and goes onto my chest causing a very bad infection. This tends to play havoc with my Fell running and decathlon training as although Mrs Posh is older than me I do like to make love whenever I can. I thought that's how she felt however only yesterday I found a copy of Mrs Ps letter she sent for advice to Doctor Ruth of TV fame. I attach a copy for your perusal.;););)

Went to the medical centre today Mrs P had her injection free and I have Appointment next week free and I am very very young :D:D but no charge. The posters were all over the place so maybe its a big campaign and the end result will be much cheaper than a course of antibiotics. per head of population.
