Default it's a b****y good job my neighbours don't live here

they've just arrived for Easter & already the walls are shaking with their music.................

give them til tomorrow lunchtime to yell at the kids (& there's a lot here for Easter) trouble is cos they don't speak spanish they'll yell at mine & expect them to translate for the rest...........

wonder if they'll try the pool?..........it's freezing

storms forecast again for the next few days...............shame

why they bought in Spain at all I don't understand.............and buying a house on an urbanisation like ours beggars belief!

if anyone should have a house in the middle of nowhere it should be them

Tourists already here for Easter, and yes, they've already been in the pool, and playing football in the street, and running around shouting, then of course there are the kids.

what a mature way of handling the situation.

You could always politely ask them to turn the music down first. It may just work.

The neighbours sound charming, not! Sympathies! What part of Spain have they invaded then?

My husband liked to use a hammer drill on a piece of wood if our neighbours in UK annoyed him.

If its on an urbanization then there will be rules to adhere to, one of which should be noise.
Go and see the president and let him sort it.

They won't be there for long. Let them enjoy their holiday, ask them politely to keep the music down, particularly in the evening and early morning. Better to remain on good terms with them as it is only for short bursts at a time.

the music I can cope with......after all they're only here for a week (this time)

he just consumes alcohol from the minute he gets on the plane in UK til he gets off back there..........he gets belligerent..........has a go at the kids........reckons he's got more rights than us cos we rent & he owns his house

we've tried that.......we very carefully don't break any of the rules when he's here.........funny thing is those of that live here are far more tolerant, .........as I said in reply to another post......he reckons he has more rights than us cos we rent & he owns his

the noise rule here applies between midnight & 10 am, and during siesta

Quietly tell them that you do not allow your daughter to be used as an interpreter as it causes her difficulties being between an adult and the other children. If they do not respect the fact that you are being a good protective parent you may find that you need to diplomatically find other entertainment for your child/children whilst they are in the urbanisation.

Be very grateful that they do not live there full time.

As for them being owners and you renting - what really sad people they must be to think in that way so maybe you should pity them for having so little intelligence.

Sorry you are suffering, keep your chin up and keep telling yourself that it is short term and this may help you to survive.
