It's all happening in Esuri/Ayamonte

There is to be an open mike night at the Shop on Wednesday starting at 19.30 and Pepi is having a flamenco evening on Saturday. So if we add a dry run for the "Tapas Trail" on Friday the bank balance is going to be considerably lighter and the weight considerably heavier!

Not so 'dry' that's why I suggested splitting the taxi fare for 'Friday Club'. The cost of travel is easily recuperated from the lower priced drinks and food in town .... Tapas trail is a great way to start it!!

Spread the word... hopefully we will get a few takers....

Just to clarify the shop is the "Guardiana Stores" on Lomas Costa Esuri and Pepis is the "Passage Cafe" on Laguna Square Ayamonte. To start the tapa trail El Ferry just off Laguna Square are doing Garlic Langoustines (racion) Thursday and Friday all through June for €4. Yummy!

There's free Paella in el Salon, first weekend in June. Here come the neighbourhood festivals. Look forward to seeing Esuri II Summer Festival

Well those who did not turn out for the open mike night missed a good night. They did two sets about 45 mins each with really good songs. Lets hope that Billy and Morales do more of these.

Some of the free tapas/pinchos you get in some bars is Spain is excellent, some not so good. Just because it is free does not necessarily make it c**p.
I have also had c**p paella that I have paid for.

even with "complimentary" someone picks up the bill - usually the customers.

when having a beer with "free" tapas you still pay the same price for the beer with or without the tapas.
even when a community has a huge paella for the whole village it is paid for out of the community funds or donations from local businesses, as are our "free" cine de verano.

however, in these contexts "free" isn't to be knocked, but respected as a means of bringing people together.

Very true you are absolutely right. El Salon is an area of Ayamonte where Expats should give and give generously. not take from them.
