Internet Speeds - Costa Del Sol
I am thinking of moving to one of the coastal towns - Benalmadena, Torre del Mar or Nerja and am trying to get an idea of maximum bandwidth available in those areas. I looked through previous threads but the relevant ones were a couple of years old and I'm probably making the incorrect assumption that things have changed.
I noted that Movistar has a 300Mb package, is that available in the area or would that only be available in the larger cities? Am I looking at 30Mb d/l or is it less?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Probably not of interest to you, but where I am at they have Iberbanda, a rural internet provider. Very low speeds.
But if you don't have a land line and are not ready to go with sat internet, this might be an option.

You should be getting better speeds than that especially as your upload speed is more than your download speed.
A download speed of 0.49 is ridiculously low for Iberbanda and virtually useless - absolutely no possibility of Internet TV even. I would complain rapidly.
Most WiFi systems should give at least 3mb as a minimum, up to 1:0mb at a higher price.

Horrible speeds indeed. Iberbanda only guarantees 10% of the advertised bandwidth and without knowing on what subscription I am (we are house sitting on this address) I have not much to go on.

We live in Caleta de Velez, just outside Torre del Mar. Internet provider is Movistar. Maximum speed is 2.4Mb just under €50 a month. Expensive and not fast.
