Internet Identity account to securely access Web3 services
An Internet Identity account is the Web3 equivalent of Google passkeys, which allow easy logins to websites and apps on the internet. To create an Internet Identity account, you need a device with web authentication capabilities, access to the internet, and a modern web browser.

I easily set up an identity using my iMac fingerprint reader and my iPhone.
I havent a clue what I would need it for! |

I did some more research - it looks like Web3 is a brand new internet not controlled by the current giants (Google etc) but maybe someone else knows and understands more?
