Default INTERNET CONNECTIONS

Hi, I will be moving to live in Benitachell next week and was wondering if anyone can advise what type of internet connections they have there and the surrounding areas?
We have been in touch with Telefonica who we are with at the moment in Javea on a 3mb service and they told us no problem is is the same and will increase to 6mb by 22nd September gone.
When we knew this we chose the house and deposited on it.
Once we knew the approximate date of moving we rang them again only to be told it is highly unlikely that adsl is available at the property!
Not a happy bunny considering it was one of the factors in our decision making on a property.
Would we have any chance of making a claim against them if adsl is not available? We did not get the initial answer in writing only a telephine converation from them and although they say they record conversations my guess is it only if its in there interest and will deny if it means problems for them?
Any help appreciated,
regards,
Superpot
ps its the Calaistros area of Benitachell with underground services

In our area (Estartit/Girona) there is a Microwave Internet System for which Subscription is available via application at the local 'Town Halls'

Cost is 6 Euro's per month, with the first 3 Months Paid in Cash thereon paid quarterly via Standing Order

Once this scheme has been set up via the Town Hall they provide a document to take to a selection of hardware providers who charge around 200 euro's for purchase of the Wireless Router, Microwave Dish and FULL Installation

Transmitters are located on numerous high buildings throughout the area, the system ONLY works if you can see one of these Transmitters from your own location, therefore install costs can rise if a large pole is required although usually a simple mounting of the very small dish on the existing roof top TV Antenna pole suffices

I just assumed that this system was available all over Spain and not just in our area?

We are in a similar situation. No adsl available at our property despite 4 visits by telefonica. Apparently it could be possible if a neighbour will allow a cable to pass over the front of his property but he is saying NO :curse: We can't get a wireless signal either. Thank goodness for the townhall. Still working on telefonica though, there HAS to be another way!
