Default insolvency in spain

Any advice would be good, very very long story, but it looks like we will go bankrupt in UK, however, the insovency service have told us we cant go Bank rupt in the UK as we live and earn in Spain, we need to do it in Spain, Spanish solicitor told us we have no creditors in spain so we can not file here either. We want to take responsibility and do this properly, but we are not sure now what to do. Hubby is trying to speak to the brit consulate for advice. Has anyone had to do this, We started off trying to do a IVA, but that wont work either.

lots of love

Maryann, don't know if it will help but Centurion on the OZ forum is a bit of a wizz when it comes to this, its what he does for a living, now I know he have got a bit sick of all the PM's about it, and they are now in OZ but I'm sure if you ask nicely they will be happy to offer a bit of advice, try PM'ing them, if that doesn't work just drop them a line in a tread.

thank you all you darlings.
this is not a tough time, it is just the best choice for us at the moment. Like I said, it is a long story, but because of this choice it will have a happy ending.
Will let you know how I get on.
