Im not bering cruel ..... its a genuine question. I've answered him twice (I live here), he's ignored me. Now he cant discuss it on an open forum, so I'm asking what he would like us to do, what his reason for posting is :)

What was your reason for posting then

He just joined to name and shame and maybe cause grief to a company that none of us even know of.

Iknow it is not the forum's policy to "name and shame" but I really wouldn't worry about companies ie. agents "getting a bit of grief"

The OP should post on

www.spanishpropertyinsight They don't mind naming and shaming and pretending everything is hunky dory here.

It`s not the done thing on good forums though, especially if the firm know nothing about the thread and cannot reply.

Yes a valid point. I do think though that in 99% of cases the Agents etc. fully deserve it. If it were not for people being able to post their problems on some forums the same scammers would keep getting away with it as people in the UK wouldn't have a clue. I would want to name and shame if I had been robbed or cheated. The very least we can do is to point them to a forum that does allow such posts.

I have asked that the discussion be removed. Some of the replies are irresponsible at best and immature at worst. I am not interested in naming and shaming, that is now with the courts and one solicitor is in fairly serious problems, he and the agent colluded and cheated and they will have to answer for that and the agent for promoting tax fraud. The sum of 40 000 euros is involved and the Guardia Civil are interested.
I asked a simple question at the first posting and few on this forum have contributed in a sensible manner, unlike another forum. I was an lay advocate at law in the UK and am now retired. We lived in France for 6 years - before moving here - where solicitors (notaires) and immobilier (agents) are so tightly controlled and are bound to act in an acceptable manner - it appears not to be so here with English agents and associated lawyers. We bought here in 1998 from a superb agent in Moraira and have met two really good agents in Javea. We trusted this one in Oliva and have been cheated so I was seeking others who may have similar problems and two of these have emerged elsewhere. I have not avoided Mitzyboy or JDR.... but Jackytoo, thanks, you are on track.

I havent been asked to remove the post, or indeed been contacted at all, but as the thread is not going anywhere I will close it for the moment.
