Ingenious Way of Beating Hand Luggage Allowance
#16

Yeah Vueling are a dream, we normally fly out from Rome with them and they allow a handbag as well as a carry on normally, use to how the Italians and Spaniards fly!! With Meridiana you can get away with a laptop bag, handbag and carry-on unless you are flying out of Gatwick with them, then you have to stuff everything in one bag....They only fly to Madrid from here though. Ryan just normally have better return flights for us through Milan.

No he wasn't. You said in your original post he was doing it to wear the excess clothes under his normal ones.
But he wasn't charged for it. Common sense prevailed. I've got friends who have done exactly the same: "Sorry madam, your bags over the limit" .... opens bag, transfers some contents to partners. Or opens bag, extracts pullover, puts it on.
You see that happening on lots of flights.
He travels twice a week so knows the rules but half a kilo is ridiculous and is just a money making opportunity. I am now getting paranoid about my flight in 10 days.

Not everyone flies with a group so they cant put anything in another persons bag. Final boarding warning announcements were being broadcast over the sound system and people were concerned that they wouldnt be let on the flight. In the end the queue had to be waved through with no checks whatsoever.
By forcing passengers to stuff everything into one bag leads to lots of them jumping up and down every five minutes to get something out of the bag in the overhead locker, jamming the aisle and dropping stuff on other passengers heads.

I cannot believe they made people put bum bags into cases how absolutely ridiculous, but, O´Leary doesn´t care if he can get some extra money out of the passengers. I can understand them stopping people who are clearly taking the piss but to alienate your customers by such ridiculous rules just doesn´t make sense.

I am sick and tired of the twerps who clamber on to ryanair/easyet with oversize bags. They make it impossible for others to get their small cases in the racks.
Either obey the damn rules (YES TO THE LETTER) or stuff 'em in the hold, or pay up.
Or go by BA and stop p*ssing of the rest of us with your selfish penny pinching greed.

Easyjet charge 10e per carrier bag if you can't get it in your carry-on now, it's either that or leave it behind. But I don't think they have a weight limit of 10kg on hand luggage do they? It just has to be the right size.

Stop having a go at RyanAir. They provide a service that is priced to accomodate the passenger who wants to travel light (hence the restrictions on luggage) and without fuss.
It is ALWAYS the people that have stepped outside of the rules that complain. They ask you to READ the Terms and Conditions before they process your purchase, but how many cannot be bothered and are then 'surprised' when they are asked to conform to the rules they agreed to.
I have a suggestion, why don't all RyanAir passengers carry bags within the weight limit and size limits, then we will not have all this fuss.
p.s. I do not work for RyanAir or any other airline, I am just a regular flyer who has to put up with all this moaning!! Moaners, get a life and do something positive in your sad lives!!!!!!!!
p.p.s Buy a set of scales for a start and a new travel bag.

EasyJet has no weight limit, just a size limit for carry-on but you have to be able to lift it into the overhead locker unassisted.

Ryanair Luggage ***** insisted that everyone put their bag into the dimension contraption and weigh them

Don't obey the rules and you will have problems. Obey them and you will get a cheap flight to some lovely places. It's really, really, easy.
Ryanair make money off people who leave their brains in their underpants when they go on holiday and then expect the rest of the plane to put up with theie puerile nonsense because they shout, strip or otherwise abuse people doing their jobs.
I was once on a BA flight and someone was giving a stewardess far less aggro than some of the overbagged Ryanairers - and he wasn't allowed to fly. End of.
Take note uncle Mick. Do the same.

Oh!, and another thing, whilst I have fumes coming out of my ears. I ALWAYS weigh the luggage in my correctly sized travel bag, and why do you think that is??? As a CONSIDERATION to my fellow passengers, who do not seem to have the same consideration to me (not all, but a mindless few!!).

Well if you want to use language like that it says it all. My friend travels every week from and to Spain so does tend to know the rules so your sarcasm and nastiness are uncalled for. A pair of scales can have slight variations so whereas it may weigh 10 kilos at home on Ryanair´s scale it weighs "slightly" more which is what we are talking about.

Have the planes suddenly got smaller ?
They always had room for everything before, cases, handbags, duty free bags, etc till they found out they could make extra money out of it.
