information on Monte Pedreguer

Hi Guys we are looking at a house in Monte Pedreguer, costa blanca, and i wondered if anyone can tell us about the area, i know its 15 mins to javea and not far from denia but i wondering if the houses are legal as i saw an old post about some properties being on generators.
Any ifo on the area appreciated as we intend to bring our new born over in the next 12 months to start a life in Spain

You just need to check as it could go either way so make sure you use a good solicitor

Monte Pego is also nearby. Its a big urb, but well organised and pretty much legal

Sorry but if you don't know the area and you need to ask these questions then don't buy there yet. Rent first, find out for yourself and make sure you get your purchase decision right first time (you may not get a second chance for a very long time). I chatted to an agent in Javea a few months ago and she told me the whole area is full of people who can't sell their houses so they are trying to rent them out instead. There should be plenty to choose from.

Re: information on Monte Pedreguer

Hi I know basically the region but i am am aware of potential dangers which is why i am on here asking to see if anyone knows of the same issues.
Its a given that I already have a solicitor and accountant in Javea but was looking to see if anyone had the issues that i suspect to get an idea before i even begin to get into legals. And i do suspect them, you have to. Have lived in different areas of spain so a little familiar with potential dangers, I have a few more to look at in different areas so was just getting some general thoughts from people who maybe live or have lived in the area and any issues on perticular urbanizations or Zones. In particular carrer de la Murta, 03750
I hear it can be breezy up there and was just trying to get an idea from anyone that may know the issues already.
Many Thanks for the comments

Ill also look at monte pego cheers for that one.
There are plenty to choose from i agree, and at right money, so im in no hurry to jump into anything, however not really interesting in renting as would rather invest in something at a cheap price should the right gaff come around. Im bidding low anyway on anything i see.
cheers

Dont get overtaken by the illegal property thing. It of course does exist, especially when you go out into the sticks. Some Urbs have been around for a long time. Monte Pego is one, but it is large (3000 villas over a large area), then there is Tossal Gros overlooking Oliva / Gandia on the hillside which is smaller but imho better than the big ones. There are one or two legality issues on some of the villas there, but a good solicitor should sort that out. I have a very good one in Gandia, should you ever need her.

I dont much like Pego to be honest, its always seemed a bit lifeless to me. But thats a bit what you get when you move inland. If you went a bit further in you could find the Jalon Valley, and in particular Jalon itself. Weekly markets, nice restaurants and bars ..... and indeed the best restaurant I have ever been to in Spain is only a few miles away.

You need to take some time visiting the different places, no one here can tell you if you will like and area or not. The CB North though imho is a really nice area. Lots to do, lots to see.
