Default Inexpensive rental accomodation in Gibraltar? Any advice?

Hi everyone,
Can anyone give me some advice about accomodation in Gibraltar? My husband is due to go out and start a new job July/Aug and we want to get him a studio or 1 bedroom place for 6 months. I will be joining him in Nov with our baby girl and so we need somewherre which will be acceptable for us all for a few months too, until we find a bigger place over in Spain.
we are running two homes until I come out inthe Autumn so need it to be as cheap as possible, which I know is not easy in Gib.
We have found that Ocean Heights seems to be one of the least expensive options but without knowing the areas personally it is hard to know what options we have.
Does anyone know if there are any rentals available? Perhaps ones which I would not be able to find online. Word of mouth or freinds with places available?
Also are there any places which have bills included as this would make organising things sooooo much easier.

Hope someone can advice me. Its getting very close and very real now.
Thanks

The first link goes to an aerial view and lists the various developments, so it will give you an idea of where everything is. Possibly best if used in conjunction with Google Earth

These are just about all the estate agents in Gib

Another one to your list Fred:

http://www.ihomes.gi/

Just seen one of their cars driving past the office.. I know when we moved over, we stayed a week in Ocean Heights to get our bearings and to look for somewhere more permanent. I think I posted the contact details for short term lets a long time ago.

Oh nearly forgot this one:

Good luck with the move!

Another one to my list Thank you Fred.

We found that most of the properties never made it to the agent's website, especially the cheaper ones (Gib and cheap are two words I would rarely use in the same sentence. Except when we're talking cigarettes...) . So best bet is to contact them all.

WE now have at least 20 agents all trying to sell / rent the same overpriced properties

To give you an idea I know someone who a year ago put an offer of £240K on a flat advertised at £250K and was turned down, it remained on the market until very recently. I would love to know what it sold for.

I think its good that these info forums arent full of adverts. If the rules of the forum stated that adverts were welcome, I think there would be too many to read thru.

If you are referring to a PM private message then each party has to have made a minimum of three posts before the system allows this.

See the rules

Hi ellisg. I sent Kexicus an email asking for details. Thanks for pointing him in my direction. If I don't hear from him can you ask him to send me an email or message. Thanks very much.

You got to be kidding?.....the second post is a list of websites! Isn't that spam, or is it more acceptable for an agent to make money than a private individual?...I only posted this message cause Ellis told me someone was looking for a flat in Gib and I thought i'd tell them mine was available!.....Thought that's what an ex-pat forum was for, helping expats with as much info as possible!...evidently not....i wont be using it again!....PS Thanks to Ellis Kitty has got in touch with me!
