Yes but both those pics are of vehicles that cost more than a decent home in Spain :)

There's a budda (well he claims he is) that lives in a completely converted horsebox at the end of my road, he loves it and has a dish of water for my dog ready when it's walkies time!

There's something about just getting up one day and buggering off in a caravan and not have to worry about hotels/expense etc that's for sure.

well, I have to say, not paying council tax for the first time in a long time is bliss.....

That is well nice, but then you'd have to worry about it rotting to nothing over a period of time and having to buy another!!!

I know a guy who imports those silver bullet like shaped caravans from the states at the moment and seems to be making a good living at it.

Yeah importing and registering from the USA to the UK is a extremely easy as long as the vehicle still has the federal approval sticker on it and it's even easier if it's a motorhome for some odd reason.

Difficulty is when you want to put it on Spanish plates, who Tim found someone who claims they can do it for normal cars.

I personally can't see any problems if you've owned it for six months as then it uses the EU personal import scheme which then SHOULD bypass any eu type approval procedure.

We actually started our import/exporting part of the business back in the day from the states, old Beetle convertibles and Porsches!

I always liked the idea of a big yank truck, but the eco nut in me shudders at the thought of it!
