If you are having a Spanish Christmas dinner.....
If you are having a Spanish Christmas dinner, why not get yourself down to Iceland and get a traditional Spanish Christmas pudding.
I have just seen on the Spanish news, that Christmas pudding is wrongly thought of as a typically English dish, when in fact it was invented by Baltazar Sanchez......

So even the most die hard," I didnt come to Spain to eat Brit food" peeps, can indulge. You know it makes sense.

I don't like christmas pudding nor chocolate puddings, I think I may have home made spicy fruits on cinnamon biscuits topped with philly cheese mixed with a little honey then topped with slice of orange from my garden

Ayelsbury duck and roast beef from Tesco's for us via the car and cool box, followed by a Christmas pud from Harrods (not my local store but a gift) and Brandy sauce from the Kwick Save by Pedreguer. A very nice red wine from a local bodega in Oliva (that's the Spanish bit) and a glass or two of Famous Grouse, not forgetting the homemade mince pies of course.

It is not offensive, and it is used to "reject", or disagree, and sort of "up yours"
Merry Christmas

Never thought about it before, these phrases don't translate well. I would say aguafiestas.

Or is it what is said?
I always thought that it was what was said, and it was a sort of "up yours"
But if it is the person, then aguafiestas would be fine.

In that case celebrate the fact that the daylight hours are getting longer,(if those dastardly Spanish haven't robbed some of them again that is,), and have a mid-winter or solstice celebration as it used to be before that Jesus guy came along and stuck his finger in the spokes.
