We should be so lucky ours has gone from E189 to E1650 to be paid by the 30th and appeals will take until next May to sort out. Fines will be applied if not paid by the first!

You might call it Council Tax but rubbish collection is extra "Basura".

Basura is still the same price, only the IBI has increased - just over 14% hike !

Or perhaps they are charging for the digging out of the hill behind you?

I can't remember if ours were 351 or 391 last year but they are 444 this year although rubbish and EUC are the same. John and Kath, if you were only paying 189 do you think that they have charged you so much this year because they think you have been underpaying for several years and want some back pay? at least that would mean that they wouldn't be looking for so much next year

Oh yes although the build was all above board and the Licence of first Occupation was issued 7/4/09 it has taken the Ayuntamiento and the Cadastral in Huelva to sort out that we have a house until May this year. Then they have got the size wrong so we have appealed that but they add fines for unpaid years even though they don't tell you for a couple of years so this has along way to run yet.
