Default Re: Iberia workers aanounce strike before Christmas

Surprise,surprise.

It's getting to the stage where you're more likely to see a pig fly past your window than an Iberia jet at peak period.

The most shambolic apology for an Airline and Handling company in the history of Aviation.

Problem is that it always has a knock-on effect with other passengers and airlines who operate as scheduled.

""SURVIVAL AT STAKE

IAG, formed last year by the merger of British Airways and Iberia, posted a 96 percent fall in operating profit in the January-September period, pulled lower by losses at Iberia.

Iberia Chief Executive Rafael Sanchez-Lozano warned a strike would cause insurmountable damage to the airline.

"The strike at Iberia is like a hunger strike: If you're successful, you'll die," he was quoted as saying on Thursday in El Economista newspaper.""

The sooner they go to the wall, the better for everyone concerned in my opinion.
