Iberia Express Launch

I believe it starts tomorrow with flights from Seville, Malaga and Alicante initially with 17 destinations by the summer. Cannot seem to find out though whether any of these flights will be to the UK.

Doesn't look like it, one to Ireland later, but just starting up with four local routes. Don't like the sound of the four vintage Airbuses!

Iberia Express, the low-cost spin-off of Iberia, will begin operations on 25 March with four domestic routes serving Mallorca, Alicante, Malaga and Seville from its Madrid hub.

In May the carrier will add Vigo, Lanzarote, Grenada, Menorca and Ibiza to its network.

Iberia Express will introduce its first international routes in June with services to Dublin and Naples. The following month it will add Riga, Mikonos, Santiago de Compostella and La Palma.

The carrier will begin operations with four 1991-vintage Airbus A320s sourced from its parent company. It plans to increase its fleet to 13 aircraft by the end of this year.
