How much £ a month?
On the pool thread it was mentioned living on £350 a week.
How would you spend that much in a week? UK prices for 2 people, mine are power £25, food £30, all insurance £20, car fuel + tax £40, council tax £30, water £5, going out £50, dog £10, tv/phone £20. I think that is about it, I think Spain is similar? Does anyone agree/disagree with my figures? Are yours about the same as mine? I didn't want to put this on the pool thread as it would go off subject. |
Re: How much £ a month?
€500 for rent with water and electric... €500 for food and other things = €1000 a month..

All our normal bills are bound to double when we have visitors and there will be quite a few more of them before another summer season is over. It's all worth every single Centimo. |

Cars, including servicing, fuel and insurance £120. Cleaning Lady and Gardener £70. Window Cleaner £7. Laundry (Ironing Lady) £25. God alone knows where the rest goes? |
Re: How much £ a month?
Ok 16 night break for 2 we smoke and drink, we went out for dinner 5 times cost (160) petrol (52) we brought from English Butchers (good meat lol) we probably had about 30 drinks in different bars and we spent a total amount of 910 Euros. (this amount shocked me I thought it would have been cheaper)
My little blue top in Quesada costs me less than my council tax in London to keep all expenses including my non resident tax. Hope this helps |

For the UK It seems very reasonable to me. Personally I couldn't (wouldn't want to and couldn't ) manage on twice that.
