House Clearance
Hi all!
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of house clearance companies in the UK? I did a search on the forum and I know this question has been asked before, but it was over a year ago so maybe someone can offer some new advice. Thanks in advance. Kyla |

Message for the Mod who moved my post. I haven't posted for a while. It would appear I am a bit out of touch with the rules. Apologies for putting it in the wrong section.

Re: House Clearance
Most house clearance companies with look at your stuff and say that they cannot shift it. They often follow this up with the fact that there is one item that they may be interested in, offer a low price for that item and then offer to clear the rest for you for free.
You may be better off advertising in the local paper or giving your stuff away. Rosemary |
Re: House Clearance
We got rid of a lot of stuff on freecycle, as well as by car-booting (a lot of fun!)
Freecycle is great, because someone will collect it, and then enjoy getting some use out of whatever - far better than handing it all over for free to a trader who is only after making money on it... |
Re: House Clearance
What about getting in touch with your local Salvation Army i know here they will pick up any furniture and it usually gets to the people who need it most - just an idea.
Good luck |
