Hours Spent Surfing

Ok chap and chapess lets have the sad facts how long do you spend surfing or on BE a day.

I tend to drop-in as I'm working, mostly in response to email alerts of new postings to threads on a huge number of forums I watch or contribute to.

When PCs are your work-tool its very hard to resist mixing work & social 'net activities so I'd say right now (during the winter months and cold weather) I spend about 12 hours a day total on-line.

Usually during summer I spend most of the day outdoors, and limit work to early mornings (before dawn) and late nights.

I'm hoping my move to Costal del Sol will dramatically cut down my PC time, making it more appealing to be out and about.

I'm a mod on three other expat forums, all smaller in use than these, so it does get a bit silly sometimes .... when the good weather comes I shall get on line later and later into the night

I'm waiting for the Innovations people to bring out a fully waterproofed laptop for general pool use...

I'm a year in now but thank you very much.

Now is when it starts to get very technical and specialist.

Like mrs Teapot said, it can be highly addictive if you let it become so, It will never make up for real life, and should be treated as a good hobby is, something to look forward to on a regular BUT limited time basis, like is often said on here life is too short, unless you are not able to get out and the PC is a lifeline then it is invaluable.
It's nice to have cyber friends to have a laugh with and also get fantastic advice and information.I think Intuitive Nipple was talking about work life balance, same with BE Forum.. forum/life balance..in my opinion it should not take over from real life.... Or is this real life nowadays.....eek:
