Default Hoping to find warm weather in Alicante

Hei there,
I am running away from the cold North and hoping to find some warm weather in So Spain, specifially Alicante.

I am staying about one month and would like to find out if there are any outdoor clubs that support, hiking and walking in groups. I don't think I would like to explore areas on my own. So please give me some details as to who to contact for "outdoorish activities".

Many thanks for any info you can share with me.

There is the "Costa blanca mountain walkers" (just google it) , they are predominantly in the north of the Alicante region which is much more hilly than the south so often offers better walking, very well attended so you will never be lonely plus there are all levels, we spend 4 months of the year mainly in winter in this area and temperatures are generally ok, lots of sunny days around 15-20 deg c so ideal for walking, tennis etc

Thank you for your tip. I am going to be staying in Torrevieja, and it's my very first time in Spain, so I don't know the distances between Costa Blanca and Torrevieja. But, thanks anyway, I will check it out.

Also more to the north, but them that's where the best walking is :-)

Between November- March you will need heating, whether log burner, Central heating or gas heaters.
Being tiled and the fact that most houses were built without insulation means it is often warmer outside than in.
In the daytime when the sun shines, you may be able to wear a T shirt and shorts and it can be pleasant.
When it is dull, and in the evening and overnight the temperature drops sharply. Its bitterly cold in most houses.
Over the Christmas period there were several sharp frosts, killing off some plants.

I do think it has been colder than usual here, though.

As long as it's sunny, I'll be happy.
