Buy a decent length of rope 5cm diameter.
Tie a simple single knot in it every 40 to 50 cms apart.
Fix one end securely above the top of the window.
Job done.
Only have to throw it out the window if and when required
You'll probably find it easier to use than a rope ladder.
In any event if the need arises you'll learn very quickly.
