Default home care costs in Spain

hi

does anyone have a rough idea how much per hour, if such (private) services exist, would it cost to have home aids for someone elderly and or handicapped ?
and basically 24/24 so that means about 4-5 aids in alternate shifts (shifts of 12 hours 3days a week per aid).
It is kinda similar to home nursing services.
would Spanish private insurances participate or it would be 100% out of pocket ?

thanks

The biggest home care service provider advertises extensively in the Costa Blanca News and expat free newspapers. I know someone paying around 40 Euros an hour for fairly minor home care.

40 euros an hour seems exorbitant.
There' s an agency here that charges 20 euros per hour, but that will still be very expensive 24/24.Even if you employ someone unqualified, on a more casual basis, you would have to provide a proper contract, holiday, sick pay etc.
Equipment, aids etc can be bought or hired, and aren't cheap.

Question Re: home care costs in Spain

hi

found info via angloinfo indeed

some companies ask EUR 15-18/hr for professional service

question is: would Spanish social security and/or a Spanish private insurance
participate in the costs ?
