Holiday in Valencia

Hi We are currently looking for a holiday flat in the Valencia area. We have decided to look at surrounding areas because of price etc and are looking at places along the Metro lines for easy access into the city. So far Almassera, Foios, de pobla de farnals. Does any one know anything about these are they safe areas? Anything for children? any other places to recommend?

Not sure I have posted this in the correct place on;y I cant see how to add a thread in the Valencia section

Thanks.

You are in the correct place, there is no Valencia section.

You have chosen a beautiful city to visit.

Yes. Went there last month with OH and son. Great place. Got a 2 bed 2 bath with large terrace at reasonable price in town. Got it from Home-Away website

All these villages are safe but the metro stops quite early (last one back is about 10pm). So pretty annoying if you want to go out for dinner in Valencia at night. The metro also has reduced hours in summer - only going once every 20 minutes or so!

I would find somewhere in Valencia. You can choose a neighbourhood not too far from the centre and either walk or takes buses and taxis.

Is this a flat to rent for a holiday or buy for future holidays?

Thank you. Yes had thought about eating out in the city on an evening.. As long as a few restaurants in these places to use then id be happy to get taxi back home from city a couple of times a week. We will get more for our money moving out and thought with young children they can get involved in that community too. We love Russafa but can't afford there now.

Also bear in mind that a lot of the people in those villages have quite a small town mentality. Lots of gossiping about others going on. You'll find you won't feel so free as if you were living in valencia. Not a problem if you are renting but if buying, you may get fed up of it after awhile.
