hola missile!! My mum speaks fluent spanish so im hoping i can pick the language up quite quick i think thats very important and im hoping to try and invest into starting something up on my own out here preferably NOT a bar lol im trying to find out what would do well out here something that both english and spanish people would enjoy its just finding that "thing" though. All iv heard in the past week since i have been here is how hard life is and that there is no money here surely there is because holiday makers come by the thousands and are spending money here so surely to god if you put the hardwork and effort in anybody can do quite well out here eh ??

I would suggest work smarter not harder is the key to success. You need to find an opportunity to provide a product or service that someone requires. If you enjoy doing it then you are on a winner.

Good luck

The trouble is that alot of the holiday companies are doing "all inclusive" packages, which mean tourists dont need to leave their hotels. So unless you can break into a market that will entice them to leave for a while............

But that is the tricky bit, finding the product or service that will be the winner.....

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Rosemary
