Default History of ethnic cleansing in Menorca

I found this blog entry by Martin Varsavsky on ethnic cleansing on Menorca. Fascinating stuff - it seems the Catalans and Moorish (later on Ottoman) forces often clashed in this part of the Med. Although most of the article is in Spanish there are paragraphs in English.

las-limpiezas-etnicas-una-parte-triste-de-la-historia-de-menorca-y-espana-en-general

Reminds me a little of the Catholic versus Protestant struggle in Britain in Tudor and Elizabethan times.
