Here comes the tax man

I am sure this will not apply to any one on this forum BUT , I have just read an article .
It states by the end of this year it aims to reduce the tax evasion ( black money) on the property transfer tax 7%
By the end of this year The Tax Authority's Computer Programme will be linking the tax authorities computers with those at the Public Notary & property registry offices throughout Spain.
This will allow the tax authorities to check whether the declared sale price is realistic
Also there will be an added extra 2000 tax officials to deal specifically with it.
If any one wants the full article PM me

This is going to hit anyone hard who bought a property and paid partly in cash to save the vendor paying so much in tax.

When they come to sell they will effectively have to pay their own tax and whatever they saved the person they bought from. Ouch!
