Re: Henry Cooper RIP 1934-2001
Sad news,
A great guy, modest, genuine and likeable, possibly one of a kind in the world of boxing. Though according to your heading he passed away ten years ago. ??? |

Re: Henry Cooper RIP 1934-2011
Changed
He was known as a really nice guy and I dont think i heard anyone say a bad word about him. I always thought it amazing that someone could be so famous because mainly of one punch. It was a real shame that he couldnt have made that punch 2 minutes earlier ... might have changed history! |

Another famous name from the world of sport just passed away at the age of ninety.
Whispering Ted Lowe, the Snooker commentator who worked for the BBC for fifty years. An interesting story behind his nickname. http://news.uk.msn.com/uk/articles.a...ntid=157248130 One of his better remembered gaffs in the early days of colour TV, was, "For those of you watching in black and white, the yellow ball is the one behind the green". |
