You cannot put a VPN on it. You can put a VPN on the router, but not the TV.

What you need is a "Smart" DNS service. This achieves much the same effect as a VPN in this case, in that it will "hide" your IP address so that you can access UK or US sites which would otherwise be blocked when the sites see that you are not actually in the UK/US.

There are plenty around at pretty much the same price which is typically $5 a month.

They nearly all offer a short free trial, but two that I can recommend from personal experience are Unblock-Us - smarter faster VPN and SmartyDNS - access blocked websites!

Smarty is slightly cheaper if you opt for an annual subscription rather than monthly.

They are easy to install.

You will also need to "hack" the Samsung TV to get it to display the UK apps including the various "catchup" services such as BBC iPlayer as they will not be available on a Spanish sourced TV.

Instructions for this hack and for installing the DNS are here.

Unblock-Us | Setting up Samsung Smart TV/Blu-Ray Play...

The Samsung F series is the older series, which has been replaced with the H series, but these do not respond to the same hack to get the UK apps unless they are the H6 series or above as it only works with the special remote control that you get with these sets. Even then, it seems that they do not yet have the TV catch up apps available so anyone thinking of getting a new Smart TV for the UK apps should stick with the F series which is still available if you shop around.

Update. Having just played with the latest H series, it now seems that all four UK catchup apps are now available once you have done the hack to convert the normal apps to the UK ones.

Update. It now appears that you must use the Smart remote if your set has both which the more expensive models do. That would suggest that if you have a basic model with the normal remote, that should also work.
