Help us source garden office/casita suppliers
We have fallen in love with a house that is slightly too small for us, which means we would have to install a temporary structure outside in the garden to use as our office (a permanent structure is out of the question as we're unlikely to get permission). Max space available is only 3 x 3 metres but we reckon we could work with that. However we are struggling to find suppliers of suitable structures in our area.
We're actually living near Xativa (50km south of Valencia) at the moment and looking around the Jalon Valley, so any suppliers between Valencia and Alicante would be of interest to us, as we'd really like to see some assembled structures before we decide. We're looking at modular structures similar to garden sheds but ideally something more substantial and with double glazed window/door as it is to be used as an office and we'll be working in it several hours every day.
Thanks a lot for any suggestions.

As it is to be used as an office, it is likely to need the same permissions as a permanent structure anyway. You will need to check with the town hall before you do it, otherwise you will risk being fined.

Working several hours in what to me is a very small space/shed 10ft x 10ft
in that area of Spain with its hot summers and cold winter may not be ideal.

you could try Leroy merlin in Gandia, also there is Ardy's on the poligon
mind you like whitelinen says, I wouldnt fancy being sat in a shed in 40 degree heat
have you been to Massanasa ? there is a big selection of places there you might get something

Re: Help us source garden office/casita suppliers
Thanks whitelinen and spain - appreciate your comments that it might not be the best solution, but we've looked at so many houses, mostly bigger ones, and this is the first one we've fallen in love with - typical! Anyway, before we write off the idea we'd just like to look whether this is a feasible option.
We hadn't heard of Massanasa but I've done a quick Google search and see there's a Leroy Merlin tehre - anyone know how it compares in size to the one in Gandia? Is it a big shopping area?
Thanks again for all the very helpful replies - this is a great forum!

I have seen locals building structures simply laying concrete blocks on top of each other with no mortar and no concrete but I think that's pushing it too far

Re: Help us source garden office/casita suppliers
The rules are that if it is a temporary structure - no permit needed. To be defined as temporary, anything build on top of the ground and in wood classifies. A shed is fine I'm told.

yes think they stopped that all over...too many people trying to flout the law....always best to check with the local town hall...they are quite helpful in Xativa although very busy when we went there and permissions took a long time to be approved
