Help - Trying to locate Gilly
This really is a long shot, but here goes. Many years (More than 10)ago, myself & my better half,by sheer fluke rented what, in The Lady Magaazine picure looked like was going to be a garden shed for a fortnight. This turned out to be the entire ground floor of a villa on the Dona Pilar Urbanization in Mijas Pueblo. Gilly Horwood, the wonderful lady who owned the villa had it converted so she could let out the ground floor as to not feel isolated living on her own since the passing of her husband a couple of years prior. We stayed there mant times, but a few years ago the last time I enquired,it was out on a very long let . I gave up & eventually lost Gilly's number. Does anyone know- 1. Is Gilly still alive ?
2.Does she still live on Dona Pilar and- 3.Does she still rent out the ground floor ? If not,do the current owners ? I would love to surprise my other half & take her back there for our anniversary. If anyone could let me know,I would be very grateful. If Gilly is still with us we'd love to get in touch with her. |

Re: Help - Trying to locate Gilly
As Concierges for the Spanish section of BE we would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums. Please let us know if you need any further help. Rosemary and Graham |
