Help needed moving to torrevieja

Hi all I am a single parent moving over to Spain in April 2016 with my 2 girls aged 14 & 9, I'm wanting any information on local schools etc and and advice on the move in general, and do's and donts.

Thanks in advance

Hi and a warm welcome to the Spanish forum on BE. Myself and Fred James are the moderators for the Spanish forums whilst BEVS moderates Europe. Moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. This is so that members gain the information that they are looking for and find their experiences on the forums to be friendly and worthwhile.

Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderator who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are usually friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge about the issues of living in Spain. I hope that you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

There are plenty of previous threads which may answer your questions. Research is the key. Just remember most importantly you are moving to a foreign country it is not the UK!

Simplest answer is that if you don't speak good Spanish, and will be looking for a job, then stay in the UK, the unemployment rate in Spain is many times that of the UK, and your 14 yr old would, almost certainly, need to attend an international school, which will be expensive, unless the kids are already fluent in Spanish, which you haven't said.
Moew info on your circumstances might help people to give more guided advice.
