OK this may be a little off beam. In a nutshell, we married secretly in the UK last year so that our Spanish house completed in our married name etc.

The plan was to have some kind of "proper" wedding at the house this summer and invite everyone out to that.

Problems I now have.... we can't have a blessing in a church which would have been our "ceremony" part and so are hunting for a venue to have a pretend ceremony, meal and maybe evening party too.

Anyone got any suggestions on where I could hire/borrow tents and camping gear for family to stay in the grounds of our house???

Who can I get to fake the ceremony part for us????

You could get a "blessing" from a non denomination or humanist type of ceremony

I didn't think that was an option in Spain for some reason. Any ideas where to start finding out about this Davex? Thanks for the idea!

It's definitely possible, I was at a very similar ceremony in September in Cadiz province. The couple had got married in Scotland a few days previously.

The celebrant was English and performed such duties in Spain for a fee. I've no idea how they found her though and it was a long way from you so not much help.

But it is certainly possible.
