Help Dogs to Spain passports
 

Can anyone advise on this we have just rang to book our dogs in for their rabies jabs and passports for Friday 1st of June and have just been informed that it will take 3 maybe 4 weeks for their passports to come back , we are hoping to be heading for Spain in approx 3 weeks and we are now panicking does anyone know if there is a fastrack system to rush them through our vet says no but does anyone know any different.

Check the DEFRA website, there may be something on there. Our vets issued the passports immediately on issuing the relevant jabs, so maybe ring around other vets to see if they have passports in stock. These are blank and the vet just completes all the relevant parts.

The requirements when we moved to Spain, were that the Cats had to have the rabies jabs, a minimum of 3 weeks before flying. We were also in a rush (as we would have ended up homeless!!), so did fly the cats out exactly 21 days after their rabies jabs, with no problems

We took our dogs from Spain to England so it was different, we were issued with there passports after they had their jabs but had to wait six months to get the all clear.

Its ok have just found a vet who will issue same day passports thank you for your advice about ringing round it worked.

I think you only need the pasports to get back into UK.

Possibly the vets are just trying to squeeze a bit more money from us nut its better to be safe than sorry would hate to get halfway there and be told they have to quarantined.

do you mean when you are looking at the list of threads?

if so, it shows 'bold' when there are posts that you haven't read on the thread, & 'unbold' when there are no new replies

is that what you mean?

No problem, lynnxa is right it changes so that you know you have read that thread up to date, any that are bold you need to do some catching up ;-)
