Hello All

Sitting here in Sunny Northern Cyprus in Bogaz which is a small fishing village about 30 minutes drive from Gazi Magusa (Famagusta).

We are moving to Spain in October and looking for long term rentals probably in the Costa Blanca North region or thereabouts as our Son has lived in the area for many years.

We have also lived in Thailand, Koh Samui and Nongprue, for 3years but is just a little bit far from family in UK and Spain.

Regards

Flo and Denis

Re: Hello All

Welcome to the boards! :thumbsup::cool:
They're a knowledgeable lot here and Most (all?) of them are quite friendly. Quite a few posters seem to be located close to the Costa Blanca so should be able to give you good advice when needed.
Hope you don't get hit by the Gota Fria in your first week though (a bit like a sudden monsoon).

Thank you all for a warm welcome. :):)

As Gandia is approx 1 hour by car to Benidorm it is close enough to pop in and visit our Son but not close enough for him to bring his washing - ideal

We are looking for long term, fully furnished, quiet'ish area, no lager louts, 2bed min, and not too expensive.

Further details would be lovely and much appreciated:)

Try the KYERO website.

There will be lots of rental properties on there in the areas you are looking at.

I'll move this to the Spain Section
Oliva / Gandia is a nice area, and rentals are a little cheaper here than in the South. Beautiful beaches, nice countryside, hour from Valencia Airport and about an hour and a quarter from Alicante Airport. Benidorm is only about 30/35 mins on the motorway

Long-term rentals prices are dropping like stones in Javea! A friend of mine just picked up a beautiful modern three-bedroom, two bathroom part-furnished apartment close to the old town for just 450€ a month; just two years ago it was being rented for almost double! I've seen fully-furnished two-beds in the Arenal area for even cheaper rent (although these might be excluded by the "no lager louts" rule!) so there are bargains to be found if you take the time to look.

as I said on another thread - I now pay less than 6 years ago for a bigger apartment in the same area - I've traded a bit of a seaview for a pool - keeps the kids much happier!

John C

yes, there is a reason they would be cheaper in that area - I certainly wouldn't go to certain parts alone at night!
