Can anyone please advise on how to get health insurance that will meet the requirements for a spanish visa (visado de residencia no lucrativa)? My partner and I are currently resident in the UK but spending more and more time in Spain and it seems these visas are the only way to avoid the 90 days in 180 limit. All I know is we need a 12-month policy sin copagos/without copayments but a) can we pay monthly? b)what does the policy have to cover and c) what are the best places to look for suitable and affordable policies? Buying the insurance in Spain seems the best bet but this is Catch 22 as it seems we have to stay in UK until we get the visas.

Post again in the dedicated Spain forum above, where those who've been there, done that, will advise..
Check on the "partner" status in Spain - in France, for example, you would be considered by all the Administrations as unrelated individuals, a significant financial disadvantage where the Laws of Succession are concerned. Just saying, Spain might be less strict in that respect....
