My partner has just been diagnosed with Parkinson's ( March 2021 ) and we are comming over to Spain to live either late 2022 or early 2023, what are the implications and how will it effect our Visa/ Tie

Sorry to hear your news. It will have no implications for Visa or residency application, but your partner may find private health insurance prohibitively expensive.

Thank you for your reply, can you recommend any health insurance firms and would I be correct that we could go onto the S1 system after 12 months if we obtain residence

I suggest that you contact Age in Spain.
I believe they have group buy policy with Asisa in Spain.
Your partner would need to submit an application,which will undergo a medical review to see if they will be accepted .
Apparently pre existing conditions rule you out of cover with most insurers.Hopefully they might be more forgiving
I’m in the same position as you,but I’m still a few years away from my planned move,so have not attempted an application.
