Regarding the need by Brit expats to buy health cover, does this also apply to expats from other EU countires ?

A decent sole is made using a special scanner that you stand on. It accurately measures the 3D image of you foot and the sole is custom made. Should cost about €25.

Depends where you are from and what kind of bilateral agreement exists between your home Country and Spain. For example, the UK used to allow people an S1 under retirement age for a period up to 2 years, so you could have free cover with the Spanish NHS. This got scuppered for under 65's I think in 2014, therefore early retirees need Health Insurance when they are from the UK now.

Basically, if you are British, its doesn't matter about the rest, that's the situation you are stuck with!!!!
