We are aware its our choice and how long is a piece of string etc:

We are looking to rent first just a two bedroom place would do us. If we were to buy then we have also looked at the price of properties, not two bedroom, bigger and we know our budget or should I say know what we want to spend with money left over. We have looked on line and will probably look at the Alhaurin el Grande area?

Sorry if it does not answer how long is a piece of string etc:, all we would like is for people who know that area to post information, even the negative posts would help, we are able to work out our finances for oreselves::

Alhaurin El grande looks like a typical spanish town, but it has more than its fair share of British expats, its very busy and has lots going on. Its close to Málaga airport, the coast and the countryside. I live in a village inbetween El Grande and Alhaurin de la Torre and I personally prefer de la Torre cos its bigger, more modern and has less British, but thats just a personal choice. I still go to El Grande quite often
