I live in Asturias (specifically Cangas de Onis) and am looking for guttering and downpipes for a house I am restoring. I have tried BricoMart and Leroy Merlin but they dont have what I want. Does anyone know of any other shops/ sites/ merchants which are worth a try?

Are you after UPVC guttering ? Hard to find in Spain. I have only ever came across that metal crap

yes, we want upvc - both Bricomart and Leroy do sell it, but not quite what we're after!

Why? It gets ruined by the UV sunlight - best to go for aluminium (IMHO)

There are many "plastic" companies in Spain. do a google search, in Spanish...

You might also find specialist "zinc" guttering companies around your area. Again, search in Spanish with your area or city at the end.

What is the reason? Wrong color? too big? Is there a Bauhaus nearby? That is your "last chance saloon" for the DIY shops.. Maybe try the independent builders merchants or PointP.

Since it is "not that far", try Portugal.. They may have a different style, shape, color of guttering to match your non conforming taste to what is offered here in Spain.

Sorry, I do not know what DIY shops are there...But, they more than likely have a website in which you can have a look before venturing.

Listen Very Carefully

As others have said UPVC will deteriorate quickly in strong sunlight so is poor value IMO When I lived in Italy we had copper and zinc in France both of which were"deep fill" to cope with the very heavy downpours

You could try Roca, in your area. There's a big store in Durango which might have what you want. All the plumbers shop there. It also goes by the name of Domingo Azpiri.
