Re: GUARDIMAR - costa blanca - people that live there
Do you mean Guardamar del Segura near Torrevieja ?
A popular place with the residents of Madrid who flock to the beaches in summer, Christmas , Easter and any other public holiday
Winter in the past has been quite quiet but with the influx of many Brits/Irish recently ( due to the building of a mini New York down by the port ) the place is picking up slightly - many bars still shut for the whole of November or February for holiday
Do not open a Chinese - there are about 20 now !!
As we wonder around we see bars open up - close down - some empty - some full. The reasons why are never clear - your bar in the high street may never have trade but a bar stuck in the middle of a huge building site may be crowded out every day with contruction workers
The Spanish will have the prime sites already so your bar will need to provide something "extra" in order to get the trade
Do be aware many of the "locals" speak Valenciano and "things" can often be a "closed shop" for outsiders not born and bred in Guardamar. You bar is not likely to become the HQ for the local band
Any questions specific to Guardamar just ask . Have you actually visted the place ?
regards
