another Catalunyan who can't decide tween Spain and France or becoming a seperate state
perhaps you want to have a casino like Monaco to pay all your taxes, or do you think you can get Shirley Bassey to move to Barcelona ??

Catalunya stands no chance of independence until Gibraltar is freed from Spanish oppression.

Re: Guardia Civil shooting in Gib waters
totally unwarranted !!
funny you should make such a comment when there isn't a Greek forum although Greece is part of the EU
please check the list in http://europa.eu/about-eu/countries/
and compare with those on http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=55
and you will see a small discrepancy
and it is up to the BE owners/administrators as to whether they should allow a Catalunia section, in the same way as they would consider a Scottish section
now go away and stop your racist comments about Gibraltar
although I would be interested to know why you should claim the infamous city of Santiago de Compostela on your website

Re: Guardia Civil shooting in Gib waters
I can think of quite a few places in the world where ancient cartographers and politicians got it wrong and local people know it. It has caused wars in the past and will cause wars in the future.
We did the right thing with Hong Kong (slightly different scenario), and Rhodesia (even more different), but with the same principle that political maps of hundreds of years ago may need changing.
The last time I visited Gibraltar I stayed in a hotel in La Linea and it appeared to me that the people from both places are already at war. And the history of why the Guardia Civil exists explains a lot.

HK island and Kowloon were ceded to Queen Victoria and all her descendents in perpetuity which according to my dictionary means until hell freezes over. But Lord Palmerston never appears to have made any comment about a dusty plot of land in Africa. Perhaps he and Cecil Rhodes were members of the same club

Cameron protests to Rajoy over jet ski shooting
David Cameron has protested to his Spanish counterpart after shots were fired at a jet-skier off Gibraltar.
The Prime Minister confronted Mariano Rajoy during a Brussels summit and demanded an explanation for the "illegal incursion" into British territorial waters.
At a press conference, Mr Cameron said he wanted to make sure a full investigation took place and it was important that countries followed international law.
