To be honest, I think the clue is in the final word of the thread title.

Re: Greece to Leave Euro Speculation
It's just speculation.
The main reason the Euro has dived is that the ECB press conference last week implied that the potential for more interest rate increases has now weakened. |

I believe that this has spooked things not just the comment re intrest rate. I did read somewhere a while ago that although all euro countrys can leave if they wish there would be a massive payment, plus costs to re instate their currency and then only purpose would be if they were to devalue which weighing whole lot up would be too costly. However comment was made that should Germany get fed up of propping the whole thing up they could come out as no requirement to devalue and re instate the mark! |

Well I think you can all rest easy now no doubt the pound is on the increase and I have no doubt will at least reach 1.30, how am I so confident? With a mortgage to pay when I retire at the end of this year and being sick of waiting for it to go up having missed the boat in Feb this year, with the little spike other day it gave me enough to make a forward contract to pay the mortgage off. So at least now I know if it goes down again I can pay that off. To be honest I was getting dammed obsessed with the rate. Peace of mind is worth a lot. :)

Yes as I say the worst is now over everyone it will go up like a sky rocket LOL. They blame poor old dumbo Brown for the credit crunch but secret was he had nothing to do with it, it was me planning my retirement in the sun and buying our little casa that did it, mind you as i don't like Gordo I kept quiet and let him take the blame.:D
As Obama said it was Wall Street that started it. Still don´t know why you think the situation will improve. |
